What's new at the 14th Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike?

New location for the issue of start numbers
The start numbers will be issued at the communal building located at the west entrance to Niederdorf/Villabassa. The communal building is the first wooden building at the town entrance and offers enough space for all bikers to collect their start numbers without any hassle.

Opening hours start numbers issue:
Saturday July 5th, 2008 - 10.00 to 12.00 a.m. and 02.00 to 07.00 p.m.
Sunday July 6th, 2008 - 06.00 to 08.00 a.m.

Deposit for timekeeping transponder
A new procedure for the restitution of the timekeeping transponder chip will be tested this year to avoid the usual stress situations in the finish area. The transponder will be removed from the start number after crossing the finish line and all bikers receive a token coin which represents the deposit of 10.00 Euro. After recovering from the race, the bikers can cash the token coin at a stand in the start/finish area.

Award ceremony
The official award ceremony will take place at 16h00 also in the finish area.
At the official award ceremony only the overall categories, the so called Sprint award as well as the Hill Stages awards will be honoured. Following ranks of the overall categories will be honoured and winners/riders concerned must attend the prize giving ceremony:

  • 119,9 km distance: top 8 men
  • 119,9 km distance: top 5 women
  • 56,9 km distance: top 5 men
  • 56,9 km distance: top 5 women
  • GPMs and Sprint prize

The first 3 of all rated categories are entitled to prizes in goods. These prizes will be ready for collection from 15.00h respectively after the completed finish of the according category. Prizes are not transferred or dispatched after the event.

Participation Diploma
Each participant can download a personal participation diploma from the internet after the race. Download available at www.datasport.ch.

Dolomiti Superbike Lottery
All participants of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike (not World Championships!) enter automatically a big lottery. The start numbers of the participants also count as a ticket number with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. The draw takes place immediately after the award Ceremony on Sunday.
