In view of the two races on 5th and 6th July, the marathon World Championship course has been opened for training purposes last weekend. The staff of the organizing committee has shovelled away the last leftovers of snow at the Rotwand/Croda Rossa in Sexten/Sesto and has completed the signage along the course. "Due to the heavy snowfalls during springtime this year, we had to delay the opening of the course by two weeks", says OC President Kurt Ploner. Also Olympic and World Champion Gunn-Rita Dahle has announced to examine the course by the end of June.
