Regulations Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike
1. Eligibility:
Licensed and unlicensed bikers, who are physically fit and sufficiently trained, are allowed to take part in the competition. For a successful registration, a medical attest has to be enclosed to the registration or to be shown before the start. Bikers must be 16 years old in order to enter in the 60 km distance and 18 is the minimum age requirement for the 110 km distance. Participation in these events, are entirely at own risk.
2. Registration:
Registration and payment can be carried out on our homepage www.dolomitisuperbike.com or by sending a download registration form, which will be legally binding. Registration is only effective after payment has been carried out. Registrations by phone, before the 1th of December 2011 and after 5th of July 2012 are NOT accepted.
3. Entry fees:
The indicated fees include a deposit of Euro 10, 00 for the timekeeping transponder. The deposit will be refunded when returning the transponder after the race. The chip costs Euro 40,00 and that if the chip is not returned, the difference of Euro 30,00 + tax will be requested by invoice.

4. Payment:
Payment can be carried out by credit card on our homepage www.dolomitisuperbike.com via DATASPORT, by money order to postal account nr. 37486354 or by bank transfer to our bank account IBAN IT29M0830259100000300029505, BIC – SWIFT RZSBIT21023 at Raiffeisen Bank Niederdorf/Villabassa (please always indicate the team or the name of the participant as reason for the money transfer). Our address: OC Dolomiti Superbike, piazza von Kurz 6, I-39039 Niederdorf/Villabassa – Italy.
5. Cancellation:
Generally the paid registration fee is not refundable. In case of withdrawal the registration fee will be credited to next year’s event. Cancellation of registrations must be done in writing and latest until 30 June 2012 directly to the organizing committee. Additionally a medical certificate must be attached. Replacements or changes of names are possible and can be made upon payment of a Euro 10, 00 processing fee.
No refund of the entry fee will be granted in case of reduction of the distances or partial cancellation of the competition. If the event has to be cancelled due to exceptional circumstances there is no refund of the entry fee. DATASPORT offers the possibility to add a cancellation-insurance to the online registration.
6. Privacy:
The contestant agrees that his or her personalities may be passed to third, in accordance to data protection art. 13 and 23 of dec. 196/30.06.2003. Updating or cancellation of your personal details can be done in written to the organising committee. Also in writing you can notify the organising committee if you do not wish that your personal details are forwarded.
7. Modifications:
The organizers reserve the right to modify conditions of participation, the distances and their profile as well as the invitation and regulation to the competition. All the relevant information will be published on our homepage, at the race office and on the information panel.

9. Start order, start blocks and starting times:
The start order will be based upon individual results of the last 3 editions as well as on the date of registration.
Following results will be considered from the DSB editions 2011, 2010 and 2009:
Long distance best 100 results
Short distance best 70 results
The start block 1 will be divided in 2 sections with the following allocation:
Block 1 Sector A Elite, U23 Men/Women
Sector B bikers with the best results of the last 3 editions (see above) participants of the following race series: Prestigio (must be communicated at registration); chronological order of registration.
Block 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 considering chronological order of registration date
The start will occur in 6 start blocks and at an interval of 5 minutes.
Block 1 (red) starting time 07h30 bib numbers from 1 to 800
Block 2 (blue) starting time 07h35 bib numbers from 1001 to 1600
Block 3 (green) starting time 07h40 bib numbers from 2001 to 2600
Block 4 (yellow) starting time 07h45 bib numbers from 3001 to 3600
Block 5 (black) starting time 07h50 bib numbers from 4001 to 4600
Block 6 (orange) starting time 07h55 bib numbers from 5001 to 5800
Women (pink)
All women will start with pink bib numbers and are free to choose their start block.
Athletes starting in another start block as the one assigned will be disqualified
10. Technical regulations:
Only mountain bikes or mountain bike tandems are admitted to the competition. Broken bikes can be mended at one of the four service points along the course. It is advisable to check the bikes before the competition.
11. Safety regulations:
Helmets are obligatory for the entire duration of the race for safety reasons.
12. Road traffic regulations:
The course partly hits public roads and therefore the Italian traffic code is to be observed as well as the general UCI and FCI rules for mountain bike competitions. Non-observance of the regulations will induce disqualification.
13. Jury:
The Jury will be composed of a member of the organizing committee, a judge of the FCI and a member of the time keeping company.
14. Award ceremony:
Immediately after the first athletes have passed the finish line the flower ceremony will take place in the finish area. The official award ceremony will take place at 15h00 also in the finish area.
At the official award ceremony only the overall categories, the so called Sprint award as well as the Hill Stages awards will be honoured. Following ranks of the overall categories will be honoured and winners/riders concerned must attend the prize giving ceremony:
• 110 km distance: top 10 men
• 110km distance: top 7 women
• 60 km distance: top 5 men
• 60 km distance: top 5 women
The first 3 of all rated categories are entitled to prizes in goods. These prizes will be ready for collection from 15h00 respectively after the completed finish of the according category.

Prize money for the top 3 male and female of the Hill Stages as well as of the Intermediate Sprint (see below): By Italian law, 20% of taxes must be paid on all amounts of prize money.
The first 3 women and men of all other categories will be awarded with prizes in goods.
Participants are only entitled to the prizes if the race has been finished regularly.
Prizes are not transferred or dispatched after the event.
16. Mountain prices:

17. Intermediate Sprint:
The Sprint prize will be awarded to the first 3 men and women.

18. Disqualification:
The jury as well as the race management reserve the right to exclude participants from the competition. The use of bicycles fitted with any type of support or aid of an electrical and/or electronic type is strictly prohibited, on pain of disqualification or exclusion.
19. Nature conservancy:
Littering and leaving behind waste along the course is not permitted. Waste bins are at disposal of the bikers next to the feed zones. Because of nature conservancy regulations the participants are not allowed to abandon the course at any time. Non-observance of these regulations will lead to disqualification.
20. Protests:
Protests must be submitted to the Jury within and not later than 15 minutes after the race in written form with a deposit of € 50.00 which will be refunded at acceptation of the protest.
21. Liability:
The participation to the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike is at the contestants own risk. Registering, the contestant waives any legal claim on the organizers, on a third party, or on any legal entity or person in connection with the organization.
With the registration, the contestant acknowledges that he or she is physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate at the competition.
22. Abandonment of the competition:
Participants capitulating must report this to the next marshal along the course and hand over their start number. Participants who have not been able to race within the deadlines will be stopped and their numbers will be removed. The numbers can be recollected in the finish area.

24. General rules of behaviour:
• Slower bikers have to clear immediately the way for faster bikers
• Attention must be paid to dangerous and complex passages
• Careful at downhill speeding, keep prepared to brake at any time
• Do not stop for technical damages on the course but within a safe distance on the side of the trail
• Changing of direction in the final sprint is not allowed
• Disregarding of these regulations will lead to disqualification
• Should bad weather occur, think of appropriate clothing! You are in an alpine area!
25. Time keeping:
The timing of the race is controlled by Datasport and the net time (real time) will be measured.
Services
26. Race kit:
Every contestant will get a race kit containing various typical products from the region, informative literature, start number, transponder for time keeping and the traditional Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike gift. Furthermore the race kit will hold the voucher for the Pasta-party including one drink.
27. Catering:
During the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike competition there will be 9 feed zones along the course, as well as one in the finish area. The feed zones will offer energy drinks, sandwiches, cakes, bananas, apples, and water.
28. Showers, bike wash, car parks:
There will be showers, bike wash and car parks at the participants’ disposal. Please note that parking outside the marked area is prohibited and will be prosecuted by the local authorities.
29. Signposting of the course:
Course security and signposting at every major turnoff will be available by the end of May. Peril points such as steep descents, dangerous bends will be marked with readily identifiable signs. In addition, there will be signs indicating length and altitude at each major ascent and signs indicating the remaining kilometres (countdown mode). ATTENTION: the complete signposting of the course will only be positioned at the weekend of the competition.
30. Start numbers:
The different colours of the start numbers refer to the respective starting blocks and starting times. The start numbers handed out by the organizers must be attached to the bikes. It is not allowed to cut off or to cover the logos of the sponsors.

32. Transponder for timekeeping:
The transponder for timekeeping is integrated in the starting number and has to be rendered at the finish area starting from 12h00; only then the deposit will be refunded. If a contestant does not render the transponder, he or she will be charged with Euro 30.00 on a regular bill by the organizing committee. A new procedure for the restitution of the timekeeping transponder chip will be tested this year to avoid the usual stress situations in the finish area. The transponder will be removed from the start number after crossing the finish line and all bikers receive a token coin which represents the deposit of Euro 10.00. After recovering from the race, the bikers can cash the token coin at a stand in the start/finish area.
33. Participation Diploma:
Each participant can download a personal participation diploma from the internet after the race. Download available at www.dolomitisuperbike.com or www.datasport.ch
34. Results:
The first results will be available as soon as the first bikers have passed the finish line and they will be displayed near the finish area. They will also be published on our website www.dolomitisuperbike.com - updated every 30 minutes.
35. Text messages:
Participants who have indicated their mobile phone number will receive 3 text messages free of charge with various information and results.
36. E-mails:
Participants who have indicated their e-mail address will receive various info mails about the event.
37. Pasta-party:
The race kit includes a voucher for the „Pasta-party“ including one drink, which will take place at the marquee behind the main square of Niederdorf / Villabassa.

38. Massage:
Our team of physiotherapists will offer you massages free of charge in the finish area.
39. Emergency Medical Service:
A team of three emergency doctors and the paramedics of the ambulance service “White Cross will be present.

40. Public order:
Public order and supervision of the tracks will be granted by the local firemen, the local police departments and mountain rescue services. Their orders have to be obeyed categorically at any time.
General information
Accommodation:
Information regarding accommodation can be found on our homepage www.dolomitisuperbike.com, on www.suedtirol.info or at the tourist information boards of the Alta Val Pusteria (www.hochpustertal.info). There are various camping sites in the surroundings (www.camping-olympia.com, www.toblachersee.com or www.caravanpark.it). To camp outside official camping sites is strictly prohibited by Italian law.
Stolen Bikes:
At various events in the past, mountain bikes have been stolen. We advise all bikers to not leave their bikes unattended and to lock them with a security device at any time. The Organizing Committee assumes no liability for stolen bikes.
Lost property:
Pieces of lost property, as well as bikes or other stuff left behind because of crashes or similar can be fetched at the fire station of Villabassa.
