Hochpustertal / Alta Pusteria
The Alta Pusteria is the territory of the Dolomiti Superbike, home country of the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo, along with sumless unique bizarrely shaped rocks, deep valleys and wide high plateaus!
The Alta Pusteria Touristic Association is a cooperation between the communities of Niederdorf/Villabassa, Toblach/Dobbiaco, Prags/Braies, Innichen/San Candido and Sexten/Sesto.
Niederdorf/Villabassa is located in the heart of the Alta Pusteria valley. The village is screened of the unique scenery of the Dolomites and, thanks to a favourable altitude of 1,154 metres, it boasts about its ideal conditions for a healthy and relaxing holiday, in winter and summer.
The picturesque Valle di Braies, famous for its quiet position close to nature, lies admidst the magnificent high plateaus in the natural park Fanes-Sennes-Braies and the spectacular mountains of the Dolomites with its bizarre and haughty peaks. The high plateau of Prato Piazza and the lake of Braies, famous for their preserved naturalness, are frequently visited places both in summer and winter and attract people from all over the world!
The village of Dobbiaco is situated on 1.256 meters above sea level in the green Alta Pusteria Valley, embedded in the high Dolomite rock faces on one side and the Alps on the other. There is a great offer of cultural and sportive activities combined with regeneration and relaxation in untouched nature...
San Candido lies in a spectacular position in the center of the Sesto Dolomiti Natural Park, an ideal destination for families, surrounded by soaring peaks, deep lakes, marshes and bizarre mountainous land masses enshrouded in myths and legends for centuries.
Sesto is actually the home valley of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the picturesque Val Fiscalina. Sesto is well knows as summer and skiing resort, surrounded of the "Sundial of Sesto", a mountain range with five peaks called the 'Nine o'clock Peak', the 'Ten o'clock Peak', the 'Eleven o'clock Peak', the 'Twelve o'clock Peak' and the 'One o'clock Peak'!
